Parents Actively Building Community
Dear Nature's Classroom Montessori Families:
On behalf of Nature's Classroom Montessori School and Project PABC (Parents Actively Building Community), I would like to welcome you to the Nature's
Classroom Montessori School Community. We look forward to your child/children joining us in the 2007-2008 school year.
It is an exciting time for us here at NCM, as we continue to experience growth and add more families to our developing community. We are currently 50
families strong. This growth incited the need to create a more formalized arrangement to our community building efforts. Therefore, the establishment
of Project PABC in February 2007 (see February 07 newsletter at nciw.org), was created to not only to support the many beautiful Montessori values
that our children practice everyday within their classrooms, but also to provide all families an equal opportunity in developing a more welcoming
and nurturing school community.
Project PABC has already planned some exciting community building activities. Enclosed with this letter is a current list of what is presently on the
calendar, including our Summer Playgroups. We are currently working on publishing our first PABC newsletter, which will be printed at designated
intervals and will include useful parenting/community articles, scheduled activities, and volunteer opportunities. We are also planning to have our own
link on the school website that will also have updated information.
Project PABC has been wonderfully received by our families and we are all excited about the many activities and resources being created that will benefit
our families, especially our children. We'd love to hear about your skills, interests and any ideas you may have that could contribute to this initiative.
We welcome your involvement at any level; whether it entails simply sharing ideas via email, contributing to the newsletter or volunteering to coordinate
a specific activity or resource.
But most importantly, I, on behalf of PABC, would like you to know that our parents here at Nature's Classroom Montessori believe in the importance
of maintaining a strong community. A community that surrounds, supports and secures the intellectual, emotional and social development of our children.
And I welcome you on behalf of our caring families to Nature's Classroom Montessori School.

Up Comming School PABC Events
Family Picnic
August 24th 2008
Our first PABC event will be on Sunday August 24th from 1-4 p.m. This is an all school BBQ at the lake on the Beber camp side. Turn left at the colored flags and follow the road to the lake. Please bring things to grill and drink; children can swim in the lake and play on the aqua park. All students will need to wear life jackets to play on the park. We can provide them or bring your own.
