To Whom it may concern
The enclosed information will give you an idea of what the Nature's Classroom
Institute program is all about. Please read it carefully, including "So You Want to Work
for Nature's Classroom..." and "An Introduction for Teachers at Nature's Classroom."
Also enclosed are a basic schedule for the students who attend the program, a listing
of sample special interest classes that might be taught during a typical week, an
application, and a description of the site. While the site is in session, you may wish to
contact me or another member of the staff for additional information. Staff are the
best resource as to specifics about the Nature's Classroom program and can tell you all
the "little details" that are too numerous to print in an information packet. I am
usually in the office and am available to answer questions from 9:30 to 5:30 weekdays.
You may also be able to reach me at other hours during the day and evening, and on
weekends. If I am unavailable, and no other staff member is in, please leave a message
on the machine and I will call you back as soon as possible. The telephone number is
(800) 574-7881.
If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please fill out the enclosed
application form and send it to us. If you have sent a
cover letter and resume to us, your application is already being considered but we
would still like to have the application completed; additional information specific to
the Nature's Classroom Institute program is requested on the form.
After you have (1) read the material on the Web, (2) filled out the application form and
sent it to us, (3) contacted me at the office about specific questions (if any), and (4)
decided that working for Nature's Classroom is something that you might like to try,
please call the office and let us know of your intentions. We look forward to hearing
from you.
Sincerely,
Geoffrey E. Bishop
Executive Director
